SCVRS MONDAY NIGHT NET CONTROL SCRIPT

WB6OQS, This is . . . (your name, call sign and location). Is there any emergency or priority traffic before the net begins? (Listen for response if any).

Good evening. This is . . . (Your call sign - phonetically), Net Control Operator for the Santa Clara Valley Repeater Society monday night traffic net.

This is a directed net, so please transmit only when requested. This net may be interrupted at any time for emergency or priority traffic.

This net meets each Monday night at 9:00pm for the purpose of exchanging news and information regarding the club and its activities. It also offers the members of WB6OQS , and visitors, the opportunity to exchange messages and information about amateur radio activities and equipment.

The WB6OQS repeaters are located on Loma Prieta mountain, approximately 20 miles south of downtown San Jose at an altitude of approximately 3800 feet.

  (for you technical folks, the exact location is:

        Longitude 121 degrees 49 minutes 58 seconds

        Latitude 37 degrees 7 minutes 9 seconds)

 

 This net is conducted over all WB6OQS repeaters:

   The 2 meter repeater - 146.76 Megahertz 

   with a minus 600 kilihertz offset, pl 151.4,

 and

   The 1.25 meter repeater - 224.26 Megahertz 

   with a minus 1.6 Megahertz offset. pl 123.0 (is currently disabled)

 and

   The 70 centimeter UHF repeater that transmits

   on 444.60 Megahertz with a plus 5 Megahertz offset, pl 141.3.

Two meters and the 220 repeater are normally linked for daily operation.

Club meetings are held on the third Friday of each month at the San Jose Chapter of the American Red Cross, at 2731 N 1st St., on the corner of Plumeria and North First Street in San Jose (Two lights north of Trimble on North First). Meetings begin at 7:30pm and visitors are always welcome. The next club meeting will be held on . . . (give date and time).
